    2 Indian players who could not travel to Australia for T20 World Cup 2022 because of visa problems

    T20 World Cup 2022 will start on October 16 with the qualifying round of the competition. Like the previous edition of the mega event, there are 16 teams in the ICC T20 WC 2022 as well. The previous tournament happened in the United Arab Emirates and Oman, while Australia will play host to the upcoming competition.

    Ahead of the T20 World Cup 2022, many fans would have read the news that West Indies batter Shimron Hetmyer was dropped from the squad because he could not catch the flight to Australia. Despite rescheduling the flight, the left-handed batter failed to make it on time and subsequently lost his place in the team.

    While Hetmyer did not face any visa issues, the following two Indian players missed out on a chance to help the main squad as net bowlers because of visa problems.

    1. Umran Malik missed the opportunity to be at T20 World Cup 2022

    Indian fast bowler Umran Malik grabbed everyone’s attention with his express pace bowling for the SunRisers Hyderabad team in IPL 2022. He won the Emerging Player of the Season award and also made his T20I debut for the Men in Blue. Many fans and cricket experts wanted to see the speedster in the Indian squad for the mega event.

    BCCI did not pick him in the main squad but named him as one of the net bowlers for the tournament. Unfortunately, Malik faced visa issues and has stayed back according to a report by Cricbuzz.

    2. Kuldeep Sen

    Rajasthan Royals fast bowler Kuldeep Sen was another youngster who had a brilliant IPL season in 2022. BCCI wanted him to be a net bowler for the Indian team as well. However, visa issues have denied Sen the opportunity. According to Cricbuzz, Saurabh Kumar and Chetan Sakariya have replaced the two net bowlers.
