England toured New Zealand for a two-match Test series earlier this year, where the Kiwis leveled the series 1-1 by winning the second Test match by just one run.

    1. New Zealand beat Sri Lanka on final ball of Test match in 2023

    New Zealand have been setting new records for the closest win margins in Test cricket of late. As mentioned ahead, they won a Test against the England cricket team by just one run earlier this year. And now today, the Blackcaps defeated the Sri Lankan cricket team on the last ball of Day 5.

    Kane Williamson was batting on 121, when New Zealand needed one run off one ball for a win. Williamson could not connect a shot but ran quickly and completed a bye to win the Test for the New Zealand cricket team.

    2. England vs South Africa, 1948

    The first Test where the winning team won on the final ball happened back in 1948. England was the winning team in that game, and they registered a win over South Africa courtesy of leg-byes with Cliff Gladwin batting.
