Legends League Cricket 2023 is currently underway in Qatar, where the retired cricketers from different parts of the world are playing against each other. India Maharajas, Asia Lions and World Giants are the three teams participating in the competition.
As the name suggests that the tournament is full of legends, many players in this competition are aged more than 40. 1. Mohammad Amir is playing in Legends League Cricket 2023
Former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir is playing in Legends League for the Asia Lions team. He has reunited with his former Pakistan teammates Shoaib Akhtar, Shahid Afridi, Misbah-ul-Haq and Sohail Tanvir in the tournament.
As per ESPNCricinfo, Amir is only 30 years old. He was 30 years and 329 days old when the tournament organizers named him in the Asia Lions squad. The left-arm pacer is the youngest player across all three squads.
2. Thisara Perera
Both players aged less than 35 in LLC Masters 2023 are playing for the Asia Lions squad only. Mohammad Amir is one of them, and the other one is Thisara Perera. He is a former Sri Lankan cricket team captain who was known for his all-round brilliance.
Perera is famous for hitting big shots and taking wickets with his medium pace. The former Sri Lanka star was 33 years and 339 days old when LLC named him in the Asia Lions squad. Perera retired from international cricket at an early age because of disputes with the board.
