Winning the IPL trophy is the dream of every player who joins the tournament. Over the years, several legendary cricketers have failed to win the championship despite performing exceptionally well as an individual in the league. The luck has not favored some individuals. 1. Krishnappa Gowtham won IPL with Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings
Indian all-rounder Krishnappa Gowtham has won two championships in his IPL career. The first came in 2017 when he was with the Mumbai Indians team, while the second came in 2021, when he moved to the Chennai Super Kings franchise. Although he was a top pick at the auction, Gowtham did not get to play for MI or CSK.
He has played all his matches in the league for either Rajasthan Royals or the Lucknow Super Giants. Gowtham is the only Indian to accomplish this unique feat.
2. Dominic Drakes
Regarded by many fans as the new lucky mascot of IPL, Dominic Drakes has won two championships but is yet to play an match in the tournament. He joined Chennai Super Kings last year as an injury replacement for Sam Curran during the UAE leg.
In 2022, he won the title with the Gujarat Titans. It will be interesting to see if Drakes make his debut in the next season.
