Royal Challengers Bangalore released some big names ahead of the IPL 2024 auction. They released the likes of Josh Hazlewood, Wanindu Hasaranga, Harshal Patel, David Willey, and Wayne Parnell. It has certainly weakened their bowling attack. Especially, Hazlewood, who was a consistent performer for them.

RCB now has a purse value of INR 23 crore, and they will probably be going after the bowlers. Though there will be some big names that will come under the hammer at the auction. Here we will talk about three bowlers that RCB can go after in the IPL 2024 auction. Notably, it is not easy to bowl at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

3. Gerald Coetzee

RCB has a new ball pair, Reece Topley and Mohammed Siraj. So if they want, they can bid for young South African pacer Gerald Coetzee, who is coming off a brilliant World Cup 2023. He ended up being the joint-fourth highest wicket-taker with 20 wickets in just 8 innings. Coetzee is an attacking bowler who is always in the face of the batter, which makes him a must-win prospect for the team. He can also bat, which will come in handy for RCB.

2. Pat Cummins

World Cup 2023-winning captain Pat Cummins was part of KKR, but he pulled out of the 2023 edition to manage the workload. But he has confirmed that he will be taking part in the auction, which means he will be available to play. RCB might try to grab him because he is a pretty smart bowler and can hit some big sixes.

1. Mitchell Starc

Just like Hardik Pandya, it will be a perfect homecoming for Mitchell Starc, who played four seasons for RCB (2014–2017). Since then, he hasn’t taken part in the IPL. But the left-arm pacer has confirmed that he will be playing in the IPL 2024, which means a number of franchises will go after him. Starc has taken 34 wickets in 27 games for RCB and will be a perfect choice to be RCB’s spearhead.
