The auction event for the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League will take place on December 19 in Dubai. There are 333 players out of 1165 who have been shortlisted for the auction and will be available to pick. Some of the biggest names in modern-day cricket will also be part of the auction.

3. Jalaj Saxena

Hails from Madhya Pradesh, Jalaj Saxena is an Indian batting all-rounder who shifted to Kerela to pursue his cricketing career. Born on December 15, 1986, he is almost 37 years old and will be part of the auction at a base price of INR 40 lakh. The all-rounder made his IPL debut in 2021 for the Punjab Kings and has played only one game so far. He is the oldest Indian at the IPL 2024 auction.

2. David Wiese

Former South African all-rounder David Wiese is not playing international cricket for Namibia. He has established himself as one of the hard-hitting all-rounders and has played in leagues across the world. He made his IPL debut in 2015 for the RCB. In 2023, he was part of the KKR and was released. Wiese is back at the auction at a base price of INR 1 crore. The all-rounder is currently 38 years and 209 days old.

3. Mohammad Nabi

Veteran Afghan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi is the oldest player to feature at the auction. He is 38 years and 346 days old, and on January 1, he will complete 39. The all-rounder has played six IPL seasons. He was part of SRH from 2017 to 2021 and played for KKR in 2022. Nabi was unsold in 2023, and he is back again at the IPL 2024 auction at a base price of INR 1.5 crore. Nabi has played 17 IPL games, scored 180 runs, and taken 13 wickets.
