Winning an ICC Trophy is the ultimate target of any player who chooses the game. One of the first opportunities to do it is at the U19 level and next, of course, is with the senior team. U19 World Cup takes place in the 50-over format and there are a few cricketers who have managed to win both of them. Very few players transition well from the U19 to the senior team and this list has five players who have done that.

1) Yuvraj Singh won both U19 World Cup and Senior 50-Over World Cup

Yuvraj Singh is one of the first players to achieve the feat. The Indian all-rounder first won the U19 World Cup in 2000 and then won the ICC CWC in 2011. Incidentally, Yuvi is the Man of the Series in both the tournaments. While it was expected in the junior level, coming to the 2011 edition of the World Cup, Yuvi was not in great form. A few experts even questioned his selection for the event. However, Yuvraj answered the questions in style, doing a sensational job both with bat and the ball for the team. India would have found it hard to win the tournament if not for his brilliance.

2) Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli won the 2008 U19 World Cup as the captain of the squad. It was after a long time that India won the competition. Later, Virat was drafted into the ODI Team and in no time, he cemented his place with fine performances. He was also selected for the 2011 World Cup. Virat played well in the first game and then followed it up with a fine show in the final, which helped India recover from the early jolt. Virat Kohli also has a chance to win another World Cup in 2023.

3) Xavier Doherty

Australia won the U19 World Cup back in 2002. Xavier Doherty was the highest wicket-taker in that tournament. He collected a total of 16 wickets from seven games. Later, the spinner got an opportunity to play for the senior squad. He was part of the team that won the 2015 World Cup at home. However, he did not a lot of chances in that series. Currently, the player has retired from the game.

4) Mitchell Marsh also won both U19 World Cup and Senior 50-Over World Cup

Mitchell Marsh has also won both the trophies. In fact, like Yuvraj Singh, he also has a T20 World Cup in his name. Hence, he is one of the very few players to have won all three trophies. Marsh was the captain of Australia when the team won the U19 World Cup in 2010.

5) Josh Hazlewood

Similar to Marsh and Yuvi, Josh Hazlewood also has won all three trophies in his career. He had an important role to play in the 2021 T20 World Cup, as well. If Australia qualifies to the final of the WTC in the future, Josh will have a go at this trophy, too.
