2. Kenya have appeared in more Cricket World Cup semifinals than 4 Test-playing nations

The Test-playing nations are considered the top cricketing countries of the world. However, four Test-playing teams – namely Bangladesh, Ireland, Afghanistan and Zimbabwe have never qualified for the World Cup semifinals.

3. Sachin Tendulkar bowled more deliveries in ODIs than Shoaib Akhtar

An interesting stat about Sachin Tendulkar is that he bowled more than 8,000 balls in his ODI career. He was a part-time leg-spinner who would chip in with some crucial wickets in the middle.

Tendulkar, interestingly, bowled more deliveries in his ODI career than The Rawalpindi Express, Shoaib Akhtar. For the record, Akhtar bowled 7,764 deliveries in ODI, scalping 247 wickets.

4. Ajit Agarkar has scored the fastest half-century for India in ODIs

Some of the greatest batsmen of the world have played for Team India in the 50-over format. However, the record for the fastest half-century is in the name of former bowling all-rounder Ajit Agarkar.

Ajit played an incredible knock of 67 runs against the Zimbabwean cricket team in Rajkot back in the year 2000. He completed his half-century off 21 balls, which is a record to date.

5. Misbah-ul-Haq holds the record for the fastest Test century in Asia

Current Pakistan head coach Misbah-ul-Haq once held the record for the fastest Test hundred. Known for being a defensive batsman, Misbah surprised the fans with a 56-ball century against Australia in Abu Dhabi.

Brendon McCullum soon broke his world record. However, Misbah still holds the record for the quickest Test century in Asian conditions (in terms of balls taken).
