Jamal shared insights into his journey, detailing the hurdles he faced. Despite representing Pakistan U19, breaking into first-class cricket proved elusive for four years. He then made a pivotal decision to move to Australia, playing for Hawkesbury in Sydney for several months. Despite not making it to the Pakistan U23 team upon his return, Jamal remained determined.

Financial constraints added another layer of difficulty, leading Jamal to drive taxis to improve his family’s financial situation. Balancing practice with the challenges of taxi driving, he found it tough to keep his dream of playing for Pakistan alive.

“Our finances were not strong. I leased a car from the bank and started driving a taxi. Managing time for practice became challenging. It was tough to keep my dream of playing for Pakistan alive,” added Jamal in his conversation.
