Amit Mishra is a veteran Indian leg-spinner who went unsold at the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. He is among the leading wicket-takers in the Indian Premier League history, but none of the teams showed interest in his services at the mega auction. A fan recently requested him to join the Chennai Super Kings team.

CSK are in the bottom half of the IPL 2022 points table right now with no points from three matches. Because of Deepak Chahar’s absence, the Chennai Super Kings bowling attack has struggled a lot in IPL 2022. The inexperience has come to the fore as CSK have suffered defeats against the likes of Lucknow Super Giants, Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings.

Since Amit Mishra has a ton of experience under his belt, a fan wrote to him on Twitter:

“Sir, pls come to CSK.”

While Mishra has said that his career is not over, he surprisingly declined the request and said:

“Sorry mate, Still two years younger for it.”

How old is Amit Mishra?

The reason why Amit Mishra posted the comment that he did was because the Chennai Super Kings are famous as Daddies Army. They often bid for the experienced players and the senior names at the mega auction. While Mishra’s age is 39 right now, he feels that he should play for the Chennai Super Kings team in IPL 2024.

It seems like Mishra wants to play for his former team Delhi Capitals in IPL. After going unsold at the IPL 2022 Mega Auction, Mishra posted the following comment on Twitter:

“I am not finished yet and can easily add to the legacy of @DelhiCapitals…only if DC needs me! I am always in their corner.”
