RCB finds themselves in a dire situation in the ongoing IPL, languishing at the bottom of the points table after suffering significant defeats, with both their batting and bowling units faltering.

Despite Virat Kohli’s stellar batting performance, leading the team with over 300 runs and donning the orange cap, the lack of support from his teammates has been glaring, highlighting RCB’s struggles.

Meanwhile, in their match against Mumbai Indians, the team once again failed to deliver. The Red side could only make 198 runs in their 20 overs and Mumbai Indians chased down the target in just 15.3 overs.

Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh emphasized Kohli’s leadership prowess, suggesting that his captaincy could ignite the team’s fighting spirit, contrasting it with Faf du Plessis’ perceived shortcomings in motivating the players.

“I am saying make Virat Kohli the captain At least there will be fight. Virat Kohli makes his players fight. Faf du Plessis, you have to play him. People are sitting out because of him,” the former India off-spinner said.

Singh also advocated for the inclusion of Will Jacks, citing his impressive performances elsewhere and implying that Faf du Plessis’ presence in the team may be hindering deserving players. In Singh’s view, Kohli’s return as captain could be the catalyst for RCB’s resurgence.
