The upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) is just nine days away, and every fan is excited for yet another season of this lucrative competition. This will run for a period of more than two months, which becomes hectic sometimes for the players as well. That is why, for injured or half-fit players, it is not advised to participate in this league.

As the next season approaches, injured or injury-prone players are getting ruled out of the coming season. Until now, 7-8 players have been ruled out or are set to miss certain numbers of games in the coming IPL 2024. IPL 2024: List of Players who are not available and their replacements

Gujarat Titans: One of the biggest names to miss out on the entire coming season is veteran Indian pacer Mohammed Shami. The pacer underwent ankle surgery last month and would not make it to the coming season. Notably, Shami was the leading wicket-taker in the 2023 ODI World Cup in India. The franchise has not announced a replacement for him. On the other hand, Australian keeper Matthew Wade will also miss the first two games of the franchise. He will be taking part in the final of the Sheffield Shield for Tasmania, which will be run on March 21 and 25.

Lucknow Super Giants: English star pacer Mark Wood has decided to withdraw from the IPL 2024 under the decision-making of the ECB. This decision was taken to manage the workload of the pacer. The franchise has named West Indian Shemar Joseph as his replacement.

Rajasthan Royals: Another Indian pacer who has been ruled out is Prasidh Krishna. This will be the second time in a row that he will not take part in the IPL. He underwent quadriceps surgery in February. RR has not announced his replacement yet.

Kolkata Knight Riders: Two English players have been ruled out for KKR. Jason Roy has withdrawn, citing personal issues. Hence, the franchise has signed Phil Salt as his replacement, who is currently ranked No. 2. The English pacer Gus Atkinson has also pulled out to manage his workload, according to ECB. KKR has named Sri Lanka’s Dusmantha Chameera as his replacement.

Delhi Capitals: English star Harry Brook has also pulled out of the IPL 2024, as per the latest developments. The franchise is likely to announce his replacement soon.
