Mohsin Khan has made a name for himself with his excellent bowling performances for the Lucknow Super Giants in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League. The left-arm pacer was with the Mumbai Indians before, but he did not get a single chance to play for the franchise. Now, he has joined LSG and is making his presence felt.
Lucknow Super Giants rested Avesh Khan for a couple of matches because of a niggle. Mohsin led the Indian pace attack of the LSG squad in Avesh’s absence and scalped seven wickets in the last two matches. Mohsin even won the Man of the Match award in the last match against the Delhi Capitals, where he picked up four wickets for his team.
Speaking at the post-match presentation after winning the prize, Khan had said:
“I am so happy today. My mom and dad would be seeing it on TV. I enjoyed Pant’s wicket the most. Because I set him up by bowling back of a length. Rahul bhai told me to bowl a really full ball he won’t be expecting and I did what he said and got the wicket. I just want to continue doing what I am doing.”
Khan has continued his top form in the ongoing IPL 2022 match between the Lucknow Super Giants and the Kolkata Knight Riders. He opened the bowling for the Lucknow-based franchise and bowled a wicket maiden against Baba Indrajith. He conceded only one run in his second over and had figures of 2-1-1-1 at the end of the powerplay.
Fans should note that the fielding restrictions were on in that phase and only two fielders were outside the 30-yard circle. But Mohsin kept a check on the run flow.
