“It would be nice to go back to…”- Jason Holder reveals his favorite IPL side ahead of the 2024 auction

The auction of the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League is all set to get underway on December 19 in Dubai, UAE. More than 1150 players have registered for the upcoming IPL 2024 auction, and we might see some more record-breaking deals.

There are some big names that have been released by their respective franchises, while others have registered and might fetch big money. The last auction saw all-rounders get some unbelievable deals. Sam Curran (18.5 crore), Cameron Green (17.5 crore), and Ben Stokes (16.25 crore) were the top signings.

This season will see some high-profile all-rounders featured at the auction. One of the most promising all-rounders will be Jason Holder. He was part of the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2023. But he was released by the franchise ahead of the auction. He will be up for grabs.

Holder has played 46 IPL matches and taken 53 wickets at an economy rate of 8.81. He has played for CSK, LSG, SRH, KKR, and RR in his IPL career. And it won’t be surprising if these franchises enter a bidding war to have him for the coming season. But whom does the all-rounder want to play with?

In a recent interview, Holder revealed the franchise that he wants to play for. He said that it might not be in his hand, but “I have had a good time with the Sunrisers (Hyderabad) and Chennai (Super Kings) as well. One of those two teams would be nice to go back to.”

Holder has played 11 games for CSK and taken six wickets at an economy rate of 8.61. For SRH, he has played 16 matches and taken 31 wickets at a brilliant strike rate of 12.16. He is also an underrated batter and might attract a number of franchises at the IPL 2024 auction.
