Jos Buttler destroyed the Netherlands cricket team’s bowling attack yesterday with a sensational innings of 162 runs from just 70 deliveries. The Dutch skipper Pieter Seelar won the toss and opted to field first in the opening game of their ICC Cricket World Cup Super League series against the England cricket team. However, the decision did not work in his team’s favor.

The trio of Phil Salt, Dawid Malan and Jos Buttler smashed a century each as the England cricket team broke their own world record for the highest team total in an ODI match. Centuries from three players and a fantastic 66-run cameo from Liam Livingstone powered the visitors to 498/4 in their 50 overs.

Chasing 499 for an improbable win, the Netherlands cricket team lost all their wickets for 266 runs. After this defeat, the Dutch team’s net run rate sunk below -1 in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup Super League.
