All ten franchises tried their hardest to get the best possible players for their squads that might help them achieve success in the coming season. However, the trade window has opened up again, and the franchises can transfer the players from one franchise to another.

Just like we saw Hardik Pandya getting traded in to the Mumbai Indians from the Gujarat Titans. Soon, Hardik also became the captain, replacing Rohit Sharma. However, there is one more player who has given a hint for a possible trade ahead of the IPL 2024. He is none other than KL Rahul.

The captain of the Lucknow Super Giants recently opened up about his stint with the RCB, from where he started his journey. In an interview with S.G. Cricket, he pointed out his IPL career with RCB. Notably, Rahul made his IPL debut in 2013 for RCB and then played in the 2016 edition for them.

The LSG skipper thanked RCB management for giving him the opportunity and said that the franchise is very close to him. Rahul said, “RCB gave me the opportunity to showcase my talent when I was young. I am also from Bangalore, so I always dreamt of playing for RCB when the IPL started. I was lucky that I got to play for them for a few years, so RCB is very close to me.”

He played 19 games for them and scored 417 runs. He was their third-highest scorer in the 2016 season. However, he missed the 2017 season due to a shoulder injury and was later released by the franchise.

With many unexpected things seen in the IPL, one can expect Rahul’s RCB return. If it does, it will definitely make the RCB batting lineup the strongest. Meanwhile, with Dinesh Karthik at the end of his career, RCB will also look for a wicketkeeper and might think to talk to Rahul.
