The Indian Premier League is the number one T20 tournament on the world. Every year, eight to 10 world-class franchises compete against each other to win the prestigious prize. Many cricket boards have launched their own cricket league, following the concept of IPL. One of them is Pakistan Cricket Board, who have launched PSL – Pakistan Super League.

PSL is gradually growing as fans are slowly showing interest in the product introduced by the PCB. Some fans have even compared the league with the IPL. However, former Pakistan cricket team captain Salman Butt is not satisfied with the comparisons.

In a recent video on his YouTube channel, Salman gave his honest opinion on the debate between the Indian Premier League and the Pakistan Super League. Here’s what he had to say:

To develop animosity with players or aspire to be like IPL, is useless and has no logic behind it. It’s better to calm down and maintain your limits. The limits are whatever resources we have, we are doing our best.

Nobody has complained about PSL: Salman Butt

During the same video, Salman Butt mentioned that even though the Pakistan Super League is not on the level of the IPL, the franchise owners and team management are doing their best whatever they can.

“I feel both leagues take care of their players well enough and nobody has complained about the PSL,” added Salman Butt.

He further highlighted how the Pakistan Super League franchise owners pay 70% of the salary in advance to the players. Salman Butt concluded by saying that the PSL team owners are doing their best, which is why there is no need to constantly compare the salaries of players playing in the IPL and Pakistan Super League.
