The team lost another quick wicket of Richard Levi, but then Misbah-ul-Haq and Dilshan carried forward the team. While Dilshan scored 37 runs in 19 balls, it was actually Misbah’s inning that took everyone by surprise.

Misbah-ul-Haq, who was never known for his T20 game, scored 38 runs in 14 balls with strike rate of 271. Afridi later added 22 runs that took New York Warriors total to 139 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.

Chasing the target, despite Shehan Jayasuriya (44 runs of 24 balls), Parthiv Patel (14 runs of 11 balls) and Obus Pienaar (27 runs of 17 balls) playing well, they lacked the fire power to score quick runs and eventually they were able to score only 106 runs for the loss of 3 wickets.

With that, New York Warriors have finished at the top of the US Masters T10 League points table with 10 points from their 5 wins in 7 matches. California Knights finished 2nd with 9 points. Texas Chargers and Morrisville Unity round out the top 4 in the points table. The US Masters T10 League playoffs stage matches are to be played on the 26th of August i.e. today.
