The kiwi wicket-keeper batsman is known for tearing mighty bowling attack even in the foreign soil. The world cricket has witnessed his golden arms at Eden gardens 2008 where he had scored 158* runs at the very first match of the season. After losing the home series against the mighty Indian team he took his revenge in the next home series against India by whitewashing them 3-0. In that series, he had scored whooping 302* runs which is a first triple century by a kiwi batsman and became the first New Zealand player to score 1000+ runs in a calendar year.
The opener later led his team to CWC15 finals by winning all the matches except the final one. Even after his retirement from international cricket, he made his fans go crazy by his flying catches over the ropes in t20 leagues. He is the most loved kiwi batsman ever regardless of the format
