The English wicketkeeper-batsman made his debut at the IPL with Delhi Daredevils in the year 2016 and was retained by the franchise in the tenth edition too. And, in 2018, Sam Billings is all set to don the CSK colours.
A young and energetic cricketer, Billings has shown his affinity towards limited overs cricket. His ability to play spin bowling will prove to be an important factor in the CSK line-up . ex csk player who have played a brilliant innings against KKR in 2018.After that match winning fifty he didn’t played a huge knock. And due to the Ireland series he was released from the franchise before he got injured which made ECB to drop him from the squad.
As csk released 5players before this year IPL auction he is one among the five. As fans expected that he will be picked by Delhi and Mumbai who is looking for a middle order batsman. He made himself not available for this auction. As because of his county cricket begins in the month of April and he is gonna represent kent.
On the other side, he is not picked in the England squad for the upcoming South Africa series. The English is also unavailable for any franchise cricket in 2020 .He announced it through series of tweets.

He wrote, “All the best to the lads heading to South Africa. Huge amount of depth esp in the white ball game ATM. Of course disappointed not to be involved but wish the boys all the best. Will be working hard to get back in the mix (in all formats) in the near future!,”
before adding, “On a personal level, I have chosen to pull out of any franchise cricket this winter as well to focus/freshen up for a big year with @KentCricket. Very fortunate to have played all over the last few years & a break from the game to refresh I feel is the best decision (thumbs up)”.
Sam Billings also wished players “All the best” for the upcoming South Africa series with a promise of earning his spot back in the team in near future.
