Chennai Super Kings equalled Mumbai Indians with the most IPL titles when they beat Gujarat Titans in the final of the IPL 2023. Now they will defend their title in the 17th edition, which will start on March 22. The first game will feature CSK and RCB at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai.

All ten teams made the necessary changes to their squads and picked players at the IPL 2024 auction. All teams are looking quite solid at the moment, and it is expected to be another brilliant season of the biggest cricket league.

With not much time left in the IPL to start, the predictions have started, and a number of former cricketers are picking their favourite teams to win the title. Some believe that Chennai can defend their title, while others think that MI made a masterstroke by bringing Hardik Pandya in as captain.

However, former English pacer Stuart Broad, who is quite active on social media and has been tweeting about the ongoing five-match test series between India and England, has come up with a bold prediction. He thinks that the inaugural season winner, the Rajasthan Royals, can win the IPL 2024.

RR posted a video on Twitter (now X), featuring Broad, in which he said that he would back Rajasthan for the coming season because some of England’s teammates are part of the team. He said, “I must admit Rajasthan Royals, where Jos Buttler is, and Jofra Archer used to be. It looks like a really good franchise, and I quite like the pink kit.”

Rajasthan won the inaugural season under Shane Warne in 2008. They made it to the final of the 2022 season under Sanju Samson but lost to GT in the final. In the last season, they finished 5th and couldn’t make the playoffs. However, the franchise retained its core player and also made some good signings, which will strengthen the team.
