Rahkeem Cornwall, one of the beloved cricket player in the Caribbean island, delivered an amazing performance in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2023 match. Playing for the Barbados Royals, he scored an incredible 102 runs from just 48 balls, hitting 12 sixes and four fours while trying to chase down a target of 221 runs set by the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots at Kensington Oval in Barbados.

He reached his century, which was the second one in CPL 2023, with a single hit towards the long-on, right after smashing the previous ball for a six straight over the bowler’s head.

His celebration was understated but filled with confidence, as he casually dropped his bat and pumped his fist. Unfortunately, Cornwall had to leave the game due to an injury shortly after reaching his century.

Earlier in the CPL 2023 match, the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots achieved a notable score of 220 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. This impressive total was mainly thanks to Sherfane Rutherford, who scored 65 runs, and Andre Fletcher, who contributed 56 runs.

When it came to bowling, Rahkeem Cornwall played a significant role by taking two wickets for 27 runs, and one of his wicket was of Andre Fletcher.

After Cornwall had to retire out of the match, it was Laurie Evans and captain Rovman Powell who then took the charge with captain Powell remaining unbeaten for 49 runs. In the end, the Barbados Royals managed to win the match against the Patriots by eight wickets with 11 balls left to play.

Following the game, Cornwall expressed that he found the pitch to be in excellent condition. He also dedicated his remarkable performance to his son as a special gift for his birthday.
