Shoaib Akhtar and other Twitter users react to the dropped catch of Asif Ali and Shadab Khan

This is not the first time in Asia Cup 2022 that two fielders of the Pakistan cricket team have hit each other while taking a catch. During the match between the Indian cricket team and the Pakistan cricket team earlier in the tournament, Fakhar Zaman and Khushdil Shah almost had a collision. Luckily, they managed to complete the catch on that occasion.

However, it was not the case with Shadab and Asif Ali today. Reacting to the Pakistan vice-captain’s fielding, former Pakistan cricket team pacer Shoaib Akhtar wrote on Twitter:

“He is our best fielder. @76Shadabkhan just having a bad day. But our team definitely needs to work on their catch calling. Few times this has happened in this tournament. I hope he is ok.”
