CSK on course for its fourth title

Batting first, after a cautious start, the CSK openers did well to post a 61-run partnership. After the Orange Cap holder Ruturaj Gaikwad got out, Faf du Plessis took charge and helped CSK reach a total of 192-3.

The KKR openers started well with both Venkatesh Iyer and Shubman Gill striking well in the powerplay. However, Shardul Thakur turned up yet again in his most dangerous avatar, picking his trademark two wickets in a single over. This change the course of the game and CSK is now looking at adding the fourth IPL trophy in the cabinet.
