Ahead of the commencement of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season, the renowned trio of Indian cricke, MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma unveiled their revamped appearances, including a new haircut. Dhoni, the former captain of Chennai Super Kings (CSK), reverted to his signature long hair, while Kohli and Rohit opted for a very popular faded style.
The mastermind behind their transformations and renowned stylist Aalim Hakim, renowned for his work with celebrities such as Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, and Jasprit Bumrah, revealed the price tag attached to these fresh cuts. The renowned stylist has over 6.5 million followers on Instagram.
In an interview with Brut, Aalim Hakim disclosed that his services come with a minimum charge of Rs. 1 lakh. This implies that Dhoni, Kohli, and Rohit likely shelled out more than a lakh each to sport their new looks for the cricket’s biggest festival.
Hakim said during his interview, “My fee is very simple, and everybody knows how much I charge. So it starts from Rs. 1 Lakh and that’s the minimum.”
Meanwhile, as of writing this, a total of 17 matches have been played. MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings (CSK), obviously captained by Ruturaj Gaikwad now, has got off to a good start, winning 2 out of the 3 matches. However, it has been a rather difficult start for Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma’s teams Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Mumbai Indians.
Mumbai Indians, under the new captain, Hardik Pandya currently languish at the bottom of the points table losing all 3 matches. Meanwhile, RCB is currently 8th with 2 points i.e. 1 win in 3 matches.
