Thd Indian cricket team is currently in action in the ongoing Asian Games 2022 where the Men in Blue are currently facing off against Nepal in the quarter-final of the tournament. Batting first, Team India has scored 202 runs on the board thanks to a brilliant century from Yashasvi Jaiswal while Rinku Singh gave the finishing touches to the inning.
The Indian team captain Ruturaj Gaikwad won the toss and opted to bat first. However, it was rather a one sided inning, where left-hand opening batter Yashasvi Jaiswal dominated with his brilliant batting, the other end batters seemed like were playing on a different pitch.
Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad, Tilak Varma and Jitesh Sharma, all of them struggled to score runs. While Ruturaj scored 25 runs from 23 balls, Tilak and Jitesh could only score 2 of 10 and 5 of 4 respectively.
But it was Yashasvi Jaiswal who carried the Indian inning, who scored 100 runs in 49 balls. But it was in the end some brilliant batting from Rinku Singh that helped India surpass the 200 total. Rinku scored 37 runs in 15 balls with a strike rate of 246, that included 2 Sixes and 2 Fours in the last over itself.
