The Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2023 season continues today as a number of crucial matches have been lined-up all throughout the day. One of them is the match between Uttar Pradesh and Tripura.
The Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2023 match was specially in spotlight today as Rinku Singh, who is thought to be India’s next big finisher, was in action today representing the Uttar Pradesh team.
It was Tripura captain Manisankar Murasingh who won the toss and asked the UP batters to take to the crease first. UP scored 189 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in their 20 overs.
Rinku Singh and Sameer Rizvi were the star for UP side. Despite some valuable contributions from top order, Abhishek Goswami, Karan Sharma and Nitish Rana, UP found itself 3 wickets down 96 runs in 12.5 overs.
But then Rinku Singh and Sameer Rizvi displayed their class. While Rinku Singh took some time to settle, Rizvi was scoring the big runs during that period. But, once Rinku Singh got settle, there was stopping him. The prolific India batter was once batting on 17 runs from 13 balls but then raced to his half-century from just 24 balls and remained unbeaten.
