Australia has always troubled the Indian team in the international cricket events. Be it eliminating them from the 2015 World Cup or defeating them in the 2003 World Cup final, Australia has always been a thorn in India’s way.

In today’s match, India batted first and could only post 233 runs on the board. Yashasvi Jaiswal starred for the boys in blue with a fifty at the top. He got good support from Atharva Ankolekar as even he scored a half-century. Todd Murphy was the pick of the bowlers for Australia U-19s with figures of 2/40.

Chasing a modest target of 234 runs, Australia got off to a disastrous start as they lost Jake Fraser-McGurk via an unfortunate run out. Later, Kartik Tyagi ran through the top order to reduce Australia to 4-3 in 0.5 overs.

The Aussies tried to get into the mind of Tyagi by sledging him in his second over of the match. Oliver Davies was the guy who tried to sledge him but being a fast bowler, Kartik responded with his actions and not words. He dismissed Davies on the very next ball as he edged one ball right into the hands of Yashasvi Jaiswal standing in the slips.
