During the match, Melbourne Stars fast bowler Lance Morris broke the bat of Melbourne Renegades batsman Shaun Marsh into two pieces. The incident happened in the last delivery of the 4th over. Marsh played a drive off the bowler’s full-length delivery but the contact was on the bottom of the bat. While the bat made a pleasing sound, the visual which followed wasn’t very pleasing for the batsman.
Then he asked for a change of the bat at last he scored a valuable knock of 63 against Melbourne stars. While chasing a target of 169 Melbourne stars batsman tend to fall one by one. At one stage they were 54 for 3 ahead of stars until maxi started his master stroke and massive hits. His knock of 83 from 45 balls changed the equation of the game. In his match winning knock he smashed 7sixes out of park. In the post match presentation he opened up his warmup skills. Once he came into the nets, he tries to hit first 5 or 6 balls for six that’s the secret of maxi. Hope renegades too find their form in the following game.
