Prior to the match, there was an interesting development as Indian opener Ruturaj Gaikwad was spotted receiving batting tips from captain Jasprit Bumrah.

Both Gaikwad and Bumrah have showcased their exceptional skills against the host nation in the Ireland series. Bumrah, who made an impressive return to international cricket after a back injury, has taken four wickets with an impressive economy rate of 4.87.
Meanwhile, Gaikwad’s standout performance came in the second T20I, where he played a dazzling innings of 58 runs, comprising six boundaries and a six, steering India to a formidable total.
However, despite this performance, he was not included in the Asia Cup squad, with India opting for Tilak Varma as an additional batter for the prestigious tournament.
