T20 World Cup is considered to be one of the toughest tournaments for a bowler. The reason behind that is the T20 format gives the license to the batters to play freely. They do not think much about settling in the middle, and instead, they look to attack any bowler who comes against them.

Bowling a maiden over in a T20 match is considered a major achievement, no matter how the pitch plays. A maiden over means that the bowler bowled six dot deliveries without delivering a single wide or no-ball in the over.

    1. Frank Nsubuga, T20 World Cup 2024

Uganda are making their debut in the ongoing T20 WC in West Indies and USA. The African nation played its first match against Afghanistan, where they suffered a morale-shattering defeat by 125 runs. However, in their second game, Uganda bounced back and defeated Papua New Guinea by three wickets.

43-year-old Frank Nsubuga was the hero for the Uganda team. He bowled four overs and conceded just four runs, with two of them being maiden overs as well.

    2. Graeme Swann, T20 WC 2012

The first bowler to achieve this feat was former England off-spinner Graeme Swann. He bowled back-to-back maiden overs for England in a T20 WC 2012 group stage match against Afghanistan. The conditions in Sri Lanka were spin-friendly, and the Afghan batters could not read Swann’s bowling well.
