From 190 runs behind, England went on to win by 28 runs. The visitors have taken a 1-0 lead in the series now. The second test is all set to start on Friday, February 2, at the VDCA stadium in Vishakhapatnam.
England will look to carry on the momentum and win the second game. The visitors announced their playing XI a day before the second test. Interestingly, it saw the return of veteran pacer James Anderson. Everyone was waiting for James Anderson to play in the series. However, he will play with some of the youngsters in the playing XI. Bring in October 13, 2003; Bashir is currently 20 years old; and Anderson made his Test debut in May 2005. Anderson’s debut was four months before the birth of Bashir, which is just amazing. He will be sharing the dressing room with a legend like James Anderson.
1. Rehan Ahmed
English leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed, who was part of the first test that England won, will be getting another crack in the second game. He will be a vital cog in the four-spinner bowling attack for the visitors. He took two wickets in the first game and scored some useful runs with the bat. Rehan was born on August 13, 2004 in Nottingham, and Anderson’s debut came in May 2003, which is 15 months before Rehab’s birth.
