Sanju Samson has been the captain of the Rajasthan Royals team in the last two seasons. The franchise named him as their new skipper in IPL 2021 after releasing Steve Smith. Samson has done a decent job as the skipper of the Royals as they made it to the finals in only his second season as the captain.

Earlier this year, Sanju Samson led the Rajasthan Royals to their first final since 2008. They fell only win short of winning the title as the Gujarat Titans defeated them in the final to capture the trophy. Multiple players have made their IPL debuts under Sanju in the last two seasons.

Interestingly, two of them have already played for the Indian cricket team at the international level. Here is a list of those two players:

    1. Kuldeep Sen made his India debut after making IPL debut under Sanju Samson

Fast bowler Kuldeep Sen started his IPL career under the leadership of Samson for the Rajasthan Royals earlier this year. Sen impressed everyone with his pace and his ability to keep a check on the runs flow in the slog overs.

The right-arm fast bowler continued his top form in the domestic arena. As a result, Sen received his maiden national call-up to the Indian squad for the recent ODI series against Bangladesh. He made his ODI debut in the first ODI, where he took two wickets in five overs.

    2. Chetan Sakariya

It might surprise a few fans but both Chetan Sakariya and Sanju Samson made their ODI debuts in the same match for the Indian cricket team. Just a few months before the tour of Sri Lanka in 2021, Sakariya made his IPL debut under the captaincy of Samson for the Rajasthan Royals.

In July 2021, both Sakariya and Samson received their maiden ODI caps during the ODI series against Sri Lanka. Sakariya has not played any ODIs for India after that tour.
