1. Australia defeated India in a bilateral series in 2019
The last team to defeat India in a T20I series on home soil was the Australian cricket team. The Aussies accomplished the feat when they visited India in the year 2019. Australia won the first T20I in Vizag by three wickets. It was a two-match series, and Glenn Maxwell’s century ensured that Australia won the second T20I in Bengaluru.

2. South Africa
The first team to beat India in a T20I series on home soil was the South African cricket team. The Proteas accomplished it in 2015 when they won both ODI and T20I series against the Men in Blue. South Africa won the first T20I in Dharamsala by seven wickets.
The second T20I happened at the Barabati Stadium, where the Indian team got all out for just 92 runs. South Africa won the match comfortably by six wickets and secured a 2-0 series win.
