R Sai Kishore is in the form of his life at Gujarat Titans. The left-arm spinner has been picking a lot of wickets in IPL 2025. Here, we take a look at the list of two teams which bid for R Sai Kishore in IPL 2025 Mega Auctions before GT signed him.
GT got him at just INR 2 Cr. They used the RTM Card to get back the services of the talented spinner. With him in the playing XI, GT are able to manage even though Rashid Khan is not in great touch.
1) Punjab Kings
It is clear that Punjab Kings wanted a good partner for Yuzvendra Chahal in the spin department. Therefore, it was not a surprise that they went after someone like Sai. He would have been perfect for the side.
However, GT had the RTM Card and hence, PBKS could not get the player. Later, Punjab signed Harpreet Brar as the left-arm spinner for the side. He is yet to contribute a lot for the side in IPL 2025.
2) Sunrisers Hyderabad wanted R Sai Kishore for IPL 2025
In hindsight, he would have been a wonderful signing for SRH. The team needs someone like him to control the middle overs. Pat Cummins and Mohammed Shami are not in great form and this is affecting the side.
Also, SRH is using Abhishek Sharma as the left-arm spinner, sometimes even in the powerplay. This is not a great move for the side because he is not experienced with the ball to do a job in the powerplay.
