Australia has always had a good presence in various T20 leagues across the globe. In the Major League Cricket happening right now, as well, the Aussies are doing well. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three Australian cricketers who are in splendid form in MLC 2025.
Some of these players are now in line to get a long rope in the T20I side. Australia is going through a transition, and they would need young blood to kick in at the earliest.
1) Mitchell Owen
The all-rounder is yet to play for Australia but has already earned some major gigs, including one in the IPL. There is immense potential in the youngster, who did well for the Hobart Hurricanes in the last BBL. Since he is an all-rounder, there would be a massive demand for him going forward.
2) Matt Short is in great form in MLC 2025
Short is already quite experienced. However, with some of the Australian seniors returning, he might not get a chance in the Australian T20I side. That said, because of his current form, he could get a long rope.
3) Xavier Bartlett
The tall right-arm pacer is slowly making a name for himself across the globe. He had a very good debut in the IPL for the Punjab Kings. He has already played for Australia in the T20 format and is now making a case for himself to get more chances in the side. In the ongoing MLC, he is one of the highest wicket-takers.
