The management will be aware of the team’s displays in the last two seasons. As a brand, as well, the team has not gone forward. Therefore, the focus will be to improve all these aspects.
1) Release Rishabh Pant
If Pant had been on a lower salary, the management would have easily backed him. However, Pant is the most expensive player in IPL history, and his performances have been mediocre. While LSG could try to get him back at a lower fee, having a big purse will enable LSG to chase other targets, as well.
2) Sacking Justin Langer is one of the bold decisions LSG could take after IPL 2025
Ever since Langer joined LSG, the team has not made it to the playoffs. There is a pattern there. He is an accomplished coach, and releasing him would be a big statement. However, it needs to be noted that the Aussie does not have a great CV when it comes to T20 leagues.
3) Release Mayank Yadav
Mayank’s injury worries are too many and this is also causing his performances to go down. Hence, since he has a high price tag, LSG must think of releasing the talented cricketer from Delhi.
