England are the reigning world champions in the ODI format of the game. They made it to the semifinals of the ICC T20 World Cup last year and have also shown improvement in Test cricket under the new coach Brendon McCullum. However, fitness has become an issue for the English stars.

While some stars got injured while playing cricket on the field or during the practice sessions, the following three cricketers recently picked up an injury in reasons which were not related to cricket. Here’s a list of those three names.

    1. England fast bowler Jofra Archer

Former West Indies U-19 fast bowler Jofra Archer moved to the English squad ahead of the 2019 Cricket World Cup and made an instant impact. He starred for the English side in their 2019 CWC win and also did well in the subsequent Ashes series.

However, Archer has missed many matches in the last three years due to injury issues. Last year, he had to undergo a surgery after he had an accident while cleaning his fish tank.

    2. England wicket-keeper Jonny Bairstow

Opening batter and wicket-keeper of the English team, Jonny Bairstow recently got injured while he was playing golf. He had a freak golf accident, which has ruled him out of the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2022 as well as the series decider of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship series against the South African cricket team.

    3. Ben Foakes

Another wicket-keeper to feature on the list is Ben Foakes. He slipped while walking in his socks last year around the home Test series against the New Zealand cricket team. That injury ruled him out of the series against the Blackcaps.

Speaking of Blackcaps, there was another incident like this involving New Zealand last year, when Devon Conway missed the T20 World Cup Final after punching his hand on his bat.
