CSK actually tried to sign a few players in this category. If they had at least got one name, the franchise could have done better with the bat in the death overs.
1) Marcus Stoinis
The Aussie all-rounder played for the Texas Super Kings and since then, the owners had an eye on him. Hence, they targeted the cricketer. He could have been an option as an opener, as well. Someone who can use their brute muscle could have been a defining acquisition for the side.
2) Liam Livingstone is one of the finishers CSK wanted for IPL 2025
Chennai Super Kings wanted Liam Livingstone’s services. He is one of the players whom the team lost out on the final bid to RCB. He would have been a fine addition to the side. Nevertheless, there is a chance for the franchise to target him again because RCB might release the player.
3) Abhinav Manohar
Yes, Abhinav might not have done well for SRH. However, at CSK, if used well, he could have been a proper asset. Especially if he had been given the chances that Deepak Hooda got, Abhinav might have helped CSK win a game or two. That said, with his poor run, CSK could target him for the next season.
