RCB defeated PBKS in the final to win IPL 2025. The focus is now on the next season, where a few teams will look to make a strong comeback. Here, we take a look at the list of three foreigners who could, surprisingly, trigger a bidding war in the next IPL auctions.
Teams are now looking at specific roles to plug the problems in their squad. Hence, we could see a bidding war for a few players, although they may not be very popular or established.
1) Finn Allen
Teams such as KKR are in desperate need of a solid wicket-keeper batter for the opening role. Both QDK and Gurbaz were in poor form last season. Hence, someone like Finn Allen can be a good option for the side. On his day, the Kiwi can score big and take the game away from the opposition single-handedly. Hence, he is on this list.
2) Michael Bracewell could surprisingly trigger a bidding war in the next IPL auctions
In the ongoing Major League Cricket, Bracewell is showing his flexibility and adaptibility to various demands. He is anyways a fine T20 cricketer and many teams would need an all-rounder like him to add balance. Hence, a bidding war is inevitable.
3) Kyle Mayers
A few seasons ago, Kyle Mayers did really well for LSG. However, surprisingly, he has not played much in the IPL after that. He is a solid T20 opener and now has experience in the middle-order, as well. With the ball, he is someone who can move the ball in the power play. Such attributes add fine value and hence, a few teams could be interested in his services.
