    3 former Mumbai Indians IPL stars who will play for MI Emirates in UAE T20 League

    MI Emirates have generated a buzz in the cricket universe with their list of big signings ahead of the inaugural International League T20. In case you didn’t know, ILT20 is the T20 league which will take place in the United Arab Emirates every year. It will likely happen in the December/January window.

    The International League T20 is a unique competition, where teams will have permission to play with nine foreign players and two domestic players. Mumbai Indians, who are five-time IPL champions, own a franchise in the ILT20, named the MI Emirates.

    Earlier today, the team owners revealed their full squad for the UAE T20 League. Kieron Pollard, who is likely to lead the team, is still a member of the Mumbai Indians IPL squad. The following three foreign players have returned to the MI setup through the UAE T20 League.

    1. Trent Boult will play for MI Emirates

    New Zealand’s left-arm fast bowler Trent Boult earned everyone’s attention when he asked for his release from his New Zealand Cricket central contract. He aims to spend more time with his family and play more T20 leagues going forward.

    Boult played for MI in IPL 2020 and 2021. He played a vital role in their IPL 2020 championship triumph. Boult joined Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2022, but in the UAE T20 league, he has returned to MI.

    2. Dwayne Bravo will play for MI Emirates

    Not many IPL fans would remember that Dwayne Bravo once captained the Mumbai Indians team. It was in a match against the Kolkata Knight Riders, which MI lost. Bravo moved to the Chennai Super Kings then and has remained a part of CSK ever since.

    Fans expected him to join the Joburg Super Kings in CSA T20 League, but he has signed a contract with MI for the UAE T20 League.

    3. Nicholas Pooran

    Caribbean wicket-keeper batter Nicholas Pooran won IPL 2017 with the Mumbai Indians. He never played a match for MI in the IPL but will play for them in the upcoming UAE T20 League.
