The County Championship is a fine place for some of the cricketers to test their red-ball skills in foreign conditions. Here, we take a look at the list of three former RCB domestic cricketers who are playing in the County Championship 2024.
Usually, the players who remain unselected in the IPL go on and try an assignment in England. This time around, as well, we have some players on this list.
1) Cheteshwar Pujara – Sussex
After RCB released Rahul Dravid, they signed Pujara hoping that he could succeed the cricketer. However, Pujara could not crack the T20 format and that remained so. Now, he is no in the picture when it comes to the IPL. Every year, during the IPL, Pujara has a gig in the County Championship. While he is dropped, a few strong displays could still get him back to the Indian Team.
2) Karun Nair – Northamptonshire
Karun Nair is one of the former RCB domestic cricketers who are playing in the County Championship 2024. Karun started his IPL career at RCB before doing well for teams such as Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals. Having gone unsold at the recent auctions, he is doing well in the County Championship. For Karun, there is still hope to get back in the Indian Team. For that, he must do well in all the domestic games that he plays in the coming months.
3) Sid Kaul is representing Northamptonshire in the County Championship 2024
The Punjab pacer does well domestically every season. Yet, he does not get a lot of games in the IPL. For the last few seasons, he hardly played for RCB. Before the auctions, he was released. No other team picked him, as well. Nevertheless, he has got a good chance in England and he has also started his stint very well there with a 5-wicket haul.
