The auction dynamics do not allow all teams to have a solid spin unit. Sometimes, the home conditions also force the management to not spend too much on the spinners.

1) Royal Challengers Bengaluru

For a while now, RCB has had a poor spin attack. Even for IPL 2025, although slightly better compared to the last seasons, the strength is still less when you have a look at the other squads. Krunal Pandya is the lead spinner while Suyash Sharma and Swapnil Singh are the other options. Liam Livingstone could also offer an over or two. Krunal is more of a defensive spinner while Suyash can go for runs.

2) Sunrisers Hyderabad do not have a great spin attack for IPL 2025

SRH is one of the franchises with the weakest spin attack for IPL 2025. SRH does have Rahul Chahar and Adam Zampa on the squad. However, it is not sure if they would fit both of these spinners in the playing XI. Either way, the balance is missing. Rahul can be inconsistent while Zampa has not played a lot in IPL recently.

3) Rajasthan Royals

RR had the best spin attack in the last cycle. Now, they have Wanindu Hasaranga and Maheesh Theekshana to replace Ashwin-Chahal duo. It is always a risk to put the task of an entire department on foreigners. Both Wanindu and Maheesh can be expensive at times. Also, Kumar Kartikeya is the most experienced Indian spinner in the side. This might be worrisome for the franchise.
