3. Joginder Sharma

The man who was one of the reasons that India won the 2007 T20 World Cup, Joginder Sharma, retired from all forms of cricket in 2023. The 39-year-old made his T20I debut during the famous game when Yuvraj Singh smashed Stuart Broad for six consecutive sixes in the 2007 T20 World Cup. His last appearance for the Indian team came in the final of the competition, when India beat Pakistan to win the inaugural T20 World Cup.

2. Murali Vijay

Murali Vijay was one of the key players for the Indian team in the longest period for few years. He made his first appearance for Team India in 2008. Vijay was very active between 2013 and 2015 with the Indian test team. Famously known as “the Monk,” he played 61 tests, 17 ODIs, and 9 T20Is in his career, scoring 3982 Test runs, 339 ODI runs, and 169 T20I runs. He also scored 13 centuries and 16 half-centuries. Vijay took retirement in 2023 in search of other options in commentary and coaching.

1. Ambati Rayudu

Ambati Rayudu made his international debut in 2013 in ODIs. But he became a key player for the Indian team after 2017, when India were searching for a reliable player at No. 4. He played some consistent knocks for India and also had some good numbers. But after being ignored by the selection committee during the 2019 ODI World Cup, Rayudu announced his retirement. But he suddenly took a U-turn, and now, after the IPL 2023 win with CSK, he has retired from all forms of cricket. Rayudu has scored 1694 runs in 55 ODIs at 47.05 with three centuries and 10 half-centuries.
