Celebrations in the Indian Premier League are common. Here, we take a look at the list of three Indian youngsters who were fined in the IPL recently for their celebration.
Sometimes, the celebrations go overboard. However, it is all part and parcel of the game. Unless it is disrespecting someone, it is good to allow these celebrations to maintain the banter in the game. That said, the IPL board pulls up the players if it feels that the celebrations are not in good taste.
1) Harshit Rana
When KKR took on SRH in IPL 2024, Harshit Rana celebrated with a flying kiss after he took the wicket of Mayank Agarwal. Later, he was fined 60% of his salary for this celebration. Harshit did not do the same celebration again. However, after KKR won IPL 2024, the entire team celebrated the victory with this gesture.
2) Digvesh Singh Rathi was fined for his celebration in IPL 2025
Digvesh Rathi is one of the Indian youngsters who were fined in the IPL recently for their celebration. The leg-spinner is the latest to join this list. In the recent match between PBKS and LSG, Digvesh did a notebook celebration on dismissing his state teammate Priyansh Arya. It was a harmless celebration but he has been fined for the same.
3) Rasikh Salam Dar
The Jammu & Kashmir lad is an aggressive pacer, and for his celebration inthe Delhi Capitals’ match against Gujarat Titans in IPL 2024, he was fined. He celebrated after taking the wicket of R Sai Kishore. It needs to be seen if he would repeat the same in IPL 2025.
