The Indian Test Team will go through a transition in the coming months. Here, we take a look at the list of three Indians who played in the County recently and might be selected for the Indian Test Team.
India’s next Test assignment will be against South Africa. Then, the team will host England, as well. Hence, it would be a challenge for the men in blue.
1) Jaydev Unadkat
Jaydev Unadkat is already a part of the Indian Test Team. However, if the regulars retain fitness, he is unlikely to be selected. That said, considering his decent show in the County Championship, Jaydev Unadkat will be an option for Team India. He is one of the experienced left-arm pace options in the country and this is likely to favour his case.
2) Arshdeep Singh
Arshdeep Singh is one of the Indians who played in the County recently and might be selected for the Indian Test Team. It was a surprise when Arshdeep Singh announced his intent to play in the County. With this move, he has captured the eyes of many who now see him in whites in the future. He has also been impressive with his efforts. While Jaydev Unadkat is an option as a left-arm pacer, Arshdeep is also close, especially considering his age and better pace.
3) B Sai Sudharsan
India might fast-track certain players in the coming months. B Sai Sudharsan might be one of them. Despite being uncapped, he earned a County contract and also managed to do well. India already has Yashasvi Jaiswal at the top, who has started his career on a good note. Sai might be needed to give him competition and also take up a role in the middle-order, if needed. Hence, the Tamil Nadu man is also on this list.
