Pakistan and India have had an epic rivalry in the cricket world. Two new chapters were written in the historic rivalry during the Asia Cup 2022’s first week. India beat Pakistan in a close game during the group stage. Exactly one week later, Pakistan avenged that loss by registering a close win over the Men in Blue in the Super Fours round.

Quite a few cricketers from foreign countries have gained a massive fan following after performing well against the Indian cricket team. Here’s a list of such three players from the arch-rivals team.

    1. Mohammad Nawaz was the hero for Pakistan yesterday

All-rounder Mohammad Nawaz brought his ‘A’ game to the table in the match against the Indian side yesterday. He scored 42 runs off just 20 deliveries and turned the momentum in his team’s favor during their run-chase of 182 runs at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

    2. Fakhar Zaman became a star for Pakistan in 2017

India and Pakistan battled each other in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 Final. The Men in Green registered a big victory in that contest. The architect of their win was the team’s new batter Fakhar Zaman.

Opening the innings for the Men in Green, Zaman scored his maiden ODI hundred. He aggregated 114 runs off 106 balls and starred in his nation’s championship triumph.

    3. Shaheen Afridi

Last year, the Men in Green crushed India by 10 wickets in their opening match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. Left-arm fast bowler Shaheen Afridi scalped the wickets of Virat Kohli, KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma in that match. Afridi was a star before the game also, but that performance made him a superstar in world cricket.
