1) Haris Rauf
Many expected Haris Rauf to be one of the best pacers in the 2023 ODI World Cup. However, despite playing in some venues that support his bowling style, Haris has not done well. Apart from not picking wickets, he is also leaking too many runs, which is not helping him. Haris might seriously consider restricting himself to the T20 format and may be Tests when Pakistan visits the SENA Nations. Hence, Haris is on this list.
2) Hasan Ali could consider retirement from ODIs
Hasan Ali is one of the Pakistan players who could consider retirement after the 2023 ODI World Cup. Hasan Ali was not in the picture until Naseem Shah got himself ruled out of the World Cup. There are a lot of young and upcoming pacers in Pakistan. It would be difficult to get a chance again, especially in ODIs. Yes, Fakhar Zaman has come back to form but it would be difficult to leave out Imam-ul-Haq for a very long time. He is a quality cricketer and younger in age, as well. Imam just needs some guidance before he gets his place again in the side. With Babar Azam at No.3, Fakhar Zaman might difficult to foresee a future. As a backup opener, the management might feel that a younger player would be a better option in the current scenario.
