After a long time, India will be involved in Test cricket soon. The next assignment will be against Bangladesh. The tournament will start in December. Ravindra Jadeja is yet to recover from his injury. Hence, despite being a part of the squad, he might miss out. There would be a lot of other options for the management to consider. On that note, in this article, we take a look at three players who can replace Ravindra Jadeja for the Bangladesh Test Series.

    1) Suryakumar Yadav

It is being reported that Suryakumar Yadav can be Jaddu’s replacement for the Bangladesh Test Series. SKY is in terrific form in white-ball cricket and it may not be a bad idea to explore him in the Test squad. Test cricket needs batters to score quickly and Surya is good at it. Therefore, it might be a good time to hand SKY his Test debut.

    2) Shahbaz Ahmed

If Ravindra Jadeja misses out, the like-to-like option to replace him would be West Bengal all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed. The player has been in fine form in Ranji Trophy and deserves a call-up. Moreover, with Jadeja suffering frequent injuries, there needs to be a ready backup available for Shahbaz. Shahbaz is seen as someone who can contribute equally in both departments, especially in the longer format. Hence, he would be a useful addition.

    3) Hanuma Vihari

Hanuma Vihari is one of the players who can replace Ravindra Jadeja for the Bangladesh Test Series. It was a surprise that Vihari did not find a place in the Indian Test Team. He was seen as India’s No.3 for the future. However, Cheteshwar Pujara is back in the squad and the likes of Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer will also compete for a spot in the middle order. Vihari is someone who can also give a few overs with the ball. Therefore, he can be a decent replacement choice.
