Ruturaj Gaikwad was the captain of the India A side that toured Australia. However, he is injured at the moment. He was ruled out of even IPL 2025. The West Bengal lad was the vice-captain of the India A Team for the Australia Tour. He was even a part of the senior squad but did not get a chance to make his debut. 2) Riyan Parag could captain India A for the England Tour
Riyan Parag now has a taste of leadership with his IPL 2025 captaincy stint. The management will also see a potential Test all-rounder in him. He is at the right development stage to be given more challenges. In this regard, the management could consider him as a captaincy choice.
3) Tilak Verma
Tilak Verma is capable of playing Tests for India. Another Indian middle-order left-handed batter shall be useful. Tilak is also quite experienced now to take up leadership roles. He did that in the Emerging Teams tournament. Now, the management might make that happen again.
